Shadow work with Jess

We are holistic beings. We are no more just bodies than we are just minds. Our emotions are the arena where both converge: physical sensations triggered by thoughts (conscious or unconscious).

Especially when dealing with the effects of unconscious thoughts, we often speak of being "triggered." This refers to strong emotional reactions that seem to overwhelm us and can sometimes even incapacitate us. Fortunately, these situations can help us reveal experiences and memories that are either so deeply buried within us that we have no conscious recollection of them, or that occurred before our cognitive memory was fully developed. They may have even happened in the womb. This is what is referred to as "shadows" in this process.

I work with a powerful method developed by Teal Swan to return to these experiences through visualization and being with our emotions, and to essentially resolve them right there, in our imagination, so that we, too, can find peace in the here and now.

By integrating our inner parts—especially the child parts—we not only learn to understand why certain events in our lives upset us more than others, but this process also renders these upsets obsolete. This is because the experience that was the original trigger—or the part that had that experience—is addressed in such a way that no further triggering is needed. We create situations that allow us to move on internally. Basically, we're doing a little bit of time traveling.

In our work with your shadows, I guide you through this process, drawing on both my intuition and experience in parts work, both with myself and with my clients, as well as yours. Together, we embark on a journey into your inner self, exploring feelings, perceptions, and memories to gently and safely guide you to a state of deeper inner peace.
