Interest in the body and mind took Michael through a traditional university path, studying Psychology and Music, with a particular interest in neuroscience and jazz. Disillusionment with this trajectory led him toward personal healing and a deeper sense of purpose through spirituality, cultivation, the healing arts and teaching.
This earnest turn toward self-inquiry brought over a decade of study and practice across North America, Europe, and Asia, engaging both Eastern and Western traditions. Through yoga, qigong, meditation, body and energy work, Eastern and Western medicine, men’s work, music, tantra, and Love for the many faces of God in nature, people and world religions, Michael found sacredness, service, contentment, and an enduring, blossoming sense of fascination.
Healing work (alongside music) gradually became an integrated listening practice - meeting structure through myofascial touch, holding bones, nerves and organs, sensing rhythms, fluid dynamics and relational patterns; tonifying, sedating or balancing acupoints and pathways for energy; repatterning shadow and bringing light to unconscious patterns; unwinding generational tendencies, inviting the heart to open, and feeling how trauma and nervous system states live in the tissues and meridians. Sessions are consecrated ceremonies where anything is possible.
Michael is internationally based, largely splitting time between Austin, TX, Manchester UK and Tiruvannamalai, India. Feel free to inquire about transformational coaching/distance healing and in-person healing work. Stay tuned for online courses, in person trainings and music recordings.
